Most Cameroonian secondary and higher-education results use a French-style 0-20 scale, where 10/20 is the normal minimum pass. Anglophone GCE results are also used for school-leaving access, so Dutch institutions assess the exact qualification and subjects as well as marks.

How the Dutch 1–10 scale works

Dutch grades run from 1 to 10, with 5.5 the minimum pass. Most grades fall between 6 and 8; a 9 is rare and a 10 is almost never awarded. Read more in our Dutch grading system guide.

Will my grades be good enough?

For Dutch admission, Nuffic treats Cameroon's GCE O Level plus passing GCE A Level subjects as usually comparable to HAVO and sometimes VWO, while several technical baccalaureate/vocational awards compare to MBO levels. Universities therefore check diploma type, relevant subjects, and whether grades are comfortably above the pass mark rather than applying a simple percentage conversion.

Important: this is indicative only

These conversions are estimates. An official grade conversion requires a formal credential evaluation, and each university makes its own admission decision. See our credential evaluation and ECTS credits guides.
