Applied Mathematics

Are you good at mathematics and curious about how maths can solve real-world problems? In this Bachelor’s, you will learn how to break down complex societal challenges into clear, mathematical models. You will develop an excellent foundation in subjects such as analysis, linear algebra, statistics and optimisation, enabling you to explore the world as a mathematician. Moreover, you will also learn coding and modelling to apply the maths. With this, you can optimise logistics in healthcare, develop smart algorithms for energy systems, or learn how AI models work, for example. You will be part of an enthusiastic, international community where there is lots of room for personal attention and initiative. You will often work in teams, helping you develop valuable collaboration skills. After graduation, you will have a wide range of career options, from academic research to teaching, and data science to policy-making in logistics, technology and consultancy.
