Chemical Engineering and Chemistry

Chemical engineers and chemists are at the heart of the world's greatest challenges: clean energy, recyclable materials, sustainable industry, and molecules for advanced healthcare. Starting from academic year 2027/2028, this bachelor's program will be offered in two tracks: 'Chemical Engineering and Chemistry' and 'Scheikundige Technologie'. Both tracks have the same curriculum, courses, and learning outcomes. The only difference is the language of instruction.* Chemical Engineering and Chemistry is taught entirely in English and has a selection procedure.* Scheikundige Technologie is taught bilingually (Dutch and English, see language requirements) and does not have a selection procedure.The bachelor's program Scheikundige Technologie at TU/e combines chemistry, materials science, and process engineering into a versatile degree. This is a multidisciplinary program that allows you to tailor your learning with electives, and it gives you the scientific depth, engineering mindset, and hands‑on experience to develop the sustainable processes, materials, and molecules of the future. The program culminates in a major project, where you choose a topic that matches your interests and ambitions. Whether you plan to pursue further studies or enter the workforce, this bachelor's program provides a solid foundation for a promising career in an international and innovative field.
