Economics and Business Economics (English track, with numerus fixus)

★ StudyPath verdict
7.8/10
Best for students seeking a broad, critical understanding of economics and business operations; strong UvA reputation and numerus fixus selectivity are pluses but the programme's breadth may suit those undecided on specialisation.

About this program
Why do economic growth rates differ so much across Europe? Should the Dutch government set up a national bank? Economics and Business Economics is a broad study programme. You will develop critical thinking skills to analyse current and relevant economic issues. At the same time, you will gain insight into how companies are structured and how they function within their economic environment. In the first 18 months, you will explore both fields of study. Afterwards, you can choose to specialise in either Economics or Business Economics.
