About this program
Finding solutions to complex sustainability problems can be challenging - how can we find a way for both human beings and nature to thrive alongside each other on our rapidly changing planet? How can we mitigate the effects of climate change, and use our energy and resources in a sustainable way? Examine sustainability issues from different perspectives, at the local, regional, and global levels and learn how to take action towards greener and more equitable future. As a student of Global Sustainability Science, you will learn how to interpret the theory, but also acquire skills allowing you to contribute to the transition to a sustainable future. Are you ready to do your part? The right balance To prepare you for your future as a bridge builder, problem solver or change maker, Global Sustainability Science offers a well-balanced curriculum of courses in the natural sciences and social sciences. Natural sciences courses, related to Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, give you insight into natural, biochemical and hydrological processes (like the water cycle) that keep the Earth turning. Social sciences courses, such as those in Management, Economics, and Innovation, teach you how socio-economic processes contribute to solutions for sustainability challenges and how those solutions are managed.
