About this program
Leiden University College The Hague (LUC) is the international honours college of Leiden University. We offer an innovative Liberal Arts and Sciences programme programme centred around 'Global Challenges': major issues facing humanity and the planet, such as conflict, inequality or climate change. These problems cannot be solved by one nation or perspective alone; they demand interdisciplinary thinking and cooperation.
LUC's students are curious and ambitions, and come from all over the world to follow an interdisciplinary curriculum where they gain broad as well as in-depth knoweldge. After laying a strong foudnation, you can specialize in one of six majors: Earth, Energy and Sustainability; Culture, History and Society; International Justice; Global Health, Innovation and Society; Governance, Economics and Development and World Politics. In small, interactive classes with an average of 18 students from different backgrounds, you'll be challenged to join vibrant discussions and to think outside the box.
For the first two years, you’ll live and learn together on our campus in The Hague: an inspiring community in the international city of peace & justice. LUC is where ambitious students connect knowledge across disciplines, cultures and perspectives to make an impact.
