About this program
How do TikTok trends influence the choices you make? Why does a deadline make one person feel stressed, while another thrives under pressure? And why do some people develop an addiction or anxiety disorder, while others do not?
Curious about questions like these? Then the Bachelor’s programme in Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam might be for you. You will explore why people think, feel and behave the way they do, and investigate how the brain, personality, genes, environment and social relationships shape our behaviour, emotions and thoughts.
Psychology is not something you only find in textbooks. It is all around you, every day: in yourself and in others, at school and at work, in consumer behaviour, healthcare, social media and sport.
During the Bachelor’s programme in Psychology, you will learn:
* How people respond to and influence one another;
* How children develop and what shapes our personality;
* How to conduct psychological research and analyse behaviour;
* How to use conversation skills and apply psychological knowledge in practice.
By the end of the programme, you will have built a strong foundation for helping others and contributing to solutions for societal challenges. Whether you go on to support individuals, advise organisations or pursue a career in psychology, you will have the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference.
