Ben je geïnteresseerd in het bevorderen en beschermen van de rechten van kinderen wereldwijd? Dit programma biedt je de specialistische kennis en professionele vaardigheden die je nodig hebt om effectief op te komen voor kinderrechten, waar ook ter wereld.
Het programma biedt een gelaagde benadering (internationaal, regionaal en nationaal recht) en een interdisciplinaire insteek om de meest relevante vraagstukken rondom kinderrechten te bestuderen. Wat zijn bijvoorbeeld de rechten van kinderen bij gedwongen huwelijken of bij bescherming tegen geweld en uitbuiting? Welke rechten hebben vluchtelingenkinderen in hun opvanggemeenschappen? Hoe vinden we de juiste balans tussen de rechten van het kind, ouders en de staat? En hoe worden kinderrechten in verschillende landen juridisch afgedwongen?
Tijdens dit kleinschalige, Engelstalige programma buig je je over actuele en wereldwijde vraagstukken rond kinderen en hun mensenrechten. Je krijgt inzicht in theoretische, juridische en praktische benaderingen binnen onder meer de volgende domeinen:
