About this program
The Law & Finance (Advanced LL.M.) Programme will change its name to 'International Financial Law (Advanced LL.M.)' as of 1 September 2025.
How and why are international financial markets regulated? What does it take to steer capital flows toward sustainable development goals? Should financial regulation adapt to cryptocurrencies and increasing digitalisation? How do banks structure and document international financial transactions?
Consider how finance and investment must contribute to a sustainable future. Then you’ll realise that trust in national and international financial markets is crucial. That’s why trading venues and financial institutions such as banks, asset managers and market intermediaries are heavily regulated. This results in a growing need for legal specialists with insight into the economics behind financial transactions, and financial professionals seeking deeper knowledge of financial regulation. In the Law & Finance programme, you will be uniquely trained to operate at the intersection of law and finance in today’s digitalised global landscape.
Are you intrigued by the complex, international and multidisciplinary challenges facing the financial sector? Do you want to approach these from both legal and economic perspectives, with a strong focus on sustainability and ethics? Then this may be the programme for you.
