About this program
Can you predict when something goes viral? How can Artificial Intelligence (AI) help detect diseases using medical imaging? And what happens in your brain during an epileptic seizure? These questions have one thing in common: mathematics provides the answer. In this Master’s, you deepen your mathematical knowledge to address challenging issues across various sectors. You learn how to discover new patterns and how to predict them through mathematical models.
With various specialisations and elective courses to choose from, you have a flexible programme that allows you to specialise in fields like data science and AI, for instance. You will also do an internship or project at an organisation in the Netherlands or abroad. Employers in the technical, financial, medical, and social sectors are increasingly seeking mathematicians who can come up with practical solutions using mathematics, data science, and AI. You will be important to society and hugely in demand in the job market.
