About this program
As the world faces major challenges such as climate change, rapid urbanisation and ageing infrastructure, civil engineers play a vital role in creating sustainable, safe, and resilient solutions. The 2 year MSc Civil Engineering programme at TU Delft equips you with the expertise to design, model, analyse and improve the infrastructures and engineering systems that shape our cities and environment: from bridges, buildings, and offshore structures, to coastal defences, transport networks, and geotechnical works.
You begin the programme with the faculty-wide module Modelling, Uncertainty and Data for Engineers (MUDE), where you combine theory, coding and teamwork on real data and models to solve engineering problems. You'll also take a core civil engineering module on advanced mechanics and interdisciplinary systems design. In Q2 you specialise by choosing one of the six tracks relating to structural, materials, hydraulic, offshore, geotechnical or transport engineering.
In the second year, you can tailor your studies through electives, cross-over modules, interdisciplinary projects, an internship or study abroad experience, before completing your thesis in your chosen specialised or multi-disciplinary field.
By joining this world-renowned programme, you’ll develop the technical expertise and collaborative skills to design innovative solutions to current engineering challenges.
