About this program
The practice of business law is changing. Economic, climatic and societal upheaval is forcing businesses to develop a sense of context in the world, and challenging uncontrolled globalisation. Tomorrow's legal advisors need to be flexible, creative, open and well-informed, to guide firms and regulators through tumultuous times.
VU Amsterdam offers two English-taught International Business law specialisations. Each has a clear identity and offers a pathway to many careers. Both have an outspoken and up-to-date approach to today's business law. They are focused on what is going on right now:
* Climate Change and Corporations
* Trade and Investment
VU is proud to be the first university in Europe to offer a specific International Business Law degree that combines an all-round Master's in Business Law, with a specific focus on some of the most complex legal challenges of our day: climate change, and the societal and environmental effects of economic globalisation. These specialisations consist of compulsory and optional courses, which are taught by both legal practitioners and academics.
The VU campus is located in the heart of the Amsterdam business district Zuidas, the beating heart of the Netherlands’ legal community. The university has well-established relationships with many internationally operating companies based there.
